Instructors

Abigail

Abigail swam competitively for all 4 years on her high school's water polo and swim teams. Her favorite event to swim is the 500 free and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the breaststroke. She taught her fellow teammates how to perfect their technique and has several years of childcare experience as a church volunteer and babysitter. Some of her hobbies include running and baking. She is excited to share her swim skills with others!

Adilene

Adilene has been swimming since she was 9 years old by taking swim lessons. She has 3 years of childcare experience as a babysitter. Some of her hobbies include art and watching Tangled. She is excited to see each student's progress.

Anais

Anais has been swimming since she was 4 years old and swam competitively for a youth swim team for 4 years. She continued to swim on her high school's swim team and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the butterfly. She taught her younger family members how to swim and has childcare experience as a daycare worker for 3 years. She goes to school at Cal State Fullerton where she is studying kinesiology. She is excited to see her student's swim progress.

Atxel

Atxel has been swimming since he was 5 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the backstroke. He has childcare experience as a volleyball coach and as a babysitter. Some of his hobbies include riding motorcycles and swimming. He is excited to see each student's swim progress.

Benjamin

Benjamin has been swimming since he was 4 years old by taking swim lessons! He played water polo for his high school's swim team for all 4 years and 3 years on the varsity team. He taught his younger cousins how to swim and helped new swimmers perfect their technique as the captain of the water polo team. Some of his hobbies include playing video games and hiking. He is excited to pass of his skills to his students.

Cameron

Cameron has been swimming since she was 5 years old. Her favorite stroke to swim is the butterfly and her favorite stroke to teach her students is the freestyle. She has experience working with kids as a babysitter and church youth leader. Some of her hobbies include painting, drawing and skateboarding. Her favorite food is sushi and her favorite animals are dogs. She is excited to help her students become more comfortable in the water.

Carol

Carol has been swimming since she was 3 years old and her favorite stroke is freestyle. She has taught several friends and family members how to swim. She has worked at a daycare center at her church for 4 years.  She enjoys art, playing basketball and watching movies. Her favorite movie is Tangled and her favorite books are The Hunger Games series. She is passionate about children’s happiness and teaching them to be safe in the water. 

Isabelle

Isabelle swam competitively on her high school's water polo team for all 4 years and went on to coach the team after she graduated. She taught her 3 younger siblings how to swim and has childcare experience as a babysitter. She goes to school at CBU where she is studying nursing. Some of her hobbies include golfing and wake surfing. She has a passion for helping others learn to swim.

Jairo

Jairo has been swimming since he was 4 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He taught his younger family members how to swim and has several years of childcare experience as a babysitter. He goes to school at San Bernardino Valley College where he is studying computer science. Some of his hobbies include playing basketball and learning new things. He is excited to help his students achieve their swim goals.

Ruben has been swimming since he was 4 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the breaststroke. In addition to swimming, he has competed in weightlifting. He has experience working with kids for 4 years as a babysitter. He goes to school at Cal Poly Pomona where he is studying kinesiology. His favorite food is pizza and his favorite animals are dogs. He is excited to help his students become safer swimmers.

Vasti

Vasti took swim lessons to learn about competitive swimming when she was 14 years old and joined her high school's swim team during her freshman year. She swam for all 4 years and received the award for Athlete of the Year and was her team's captain. She worked as a lifeguard for the city of Riverside and has taught kids and adults of all ages as a swim instructor. Additionally, she was an assistant coach for a youth soccer team and worked as a babysitter. She goes to school at UCI where she is studying biology. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring Southern California. She is excited to introduce her students to competitive swimming.
