Swim Parties At Waterworks!

Thank you Waterworks Aquatics (Bascom location) for hosting a fantastic birthday party for my daughter. We just had her 8th birthday this past Saturday (09/10/2016 ) and rented out Pool #2 which is the larger pool in the venue. It goes up to 7 feet. Our party had about 28 kids (ages 1 – 8) and one high-schooler swimming with us. We had about 15 adults in the pool as well. Our entire party was about 60 people and not every parent went into the pool. The coordination of reserving the venue and time / place was easy and smooth. It was all done online, via email and a few phone calls with the birthday coordinator (Lisa Mari). She answered all of my questions and provided suggestions on which pool to reserve depending the swim levels of the kids. Lisa Mari was able to answer all my questions re: the venue, the schedule of the events and how much time to reserve. She was a pleasure to work with b/c she’s very professional, customer centric, responds timely to your requests and was able to provide her feedback. I really appreciated the time she took to answer my questions. Thank you Lisa Marie for your help in making my daughter’s birthday a success and being very responsive to my questions and delivering high quality customer services in every interaction we had (via email and phone call). It was a pleasure working with you. You made the entire process easy! The day of the party was fantastic, Jesse and Sareh were there to welcome my family and myself. They helped clear away the space for our tables and helped unload our car. Jesse was great at making sure the birthday party ran smoothly. The last swim lesson ended at 5:00 pm and by 5:01 our guests were already eager to jump in the pool and since they had cleared the swim lanes and the registration and signing of waivers, getting wristband went by fast and so efficient by the front desk – our guests were in the pool by 5:01. =) Jesse and team – thank for your help the entire day to make sure everything ran smoothly. I really appreciate that because I was able to enjoy and swim at the party. They supplied our party with inflatable toys, floating toys and floating mats. All those toys were available for us for our party for the entire time. Feedback on the safety of the guests: The entire time, I felt the lifeguards on duty to support our birthday party were hawks. They watched the kids who were jumping off the diving boards onto the deep end and make sure they were safe. I really felt safe and the parents felt safe with the amount of attention the lifeguards placed on making sure our kids were safe in the pool. Thank you for being our “eyes” and watching our kids in the pool. The 3 male gentlemen lifeguards (Marco, Alejandro and Ricardo) who were at the pool with us really did a great job entertaining the kids. Even the kids that were apprehensive of being in the pool and in the water, the lifeguards made them feel comfortable to be in the water. I really enjoy the games they played the kids. I know from the amount of squeals and laughter from the kids during the games, they were having an amazing time. Thank you to the 3 lifeguards that were there to watch and entertain our kids. You guys did an amazing job keeping them safe and laughing the entire time. Thank you Jesse and the lifeguards for keeping our kids safe, entertain the kids during the games portion and just being present and alert and making the entire party FUN. I really appreciate that. The facility was very clean in all areas: showers, changing rooms and bathrooms. This is after a full day of many swim lessons and swimmers using those facilities. There were enough showers we didn’t have to wait in lines and blow dryers are there as well. The entire staff and customer service experience at Waterworks was excellent! From booking the party to the end of the party, we have a fantastic time. It was a really great, smooth, easy, fun experience and I really appreciate the staff at waterworks for being amazing and just being responsible for their tasks, being professional, being customer focused and customer centric, keeping our guests safe and allowing me to enjoy my daughter’s party. You guys really hit it out of the park! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for a fantastic experience. I had one parent already looking into booking her son’s party. Overall, a really great experience from start to finish.

We just got back from my granddaughter's 8th birthday party at Waterworks. It was absolutely perfect. We had 15 kids, some parents, and our extended family there. The Carlsbad site doesn't have private rooms, so the tables and chairs are set up at poolside. At first I thought that might be a problem, but it was great. They are very flexible about when you eat, so the kids were in and out of the water, while the parents snacked and visited. It is the first kids' birthday party in a long time that I felt all of the parents enjoyed as much as the kids did. There are several places nearby to get food. We ordered pizza and salads from Palomar Pizza, who delivered to the pool, right on time. There was one other party going on in the other pool, and they got their food from Costco. They had pizza, a green salad, fruit plate, cheese and cracker plate, and pasta. It looked good too. We didn't bother with decorations, since the pool is already decorated in an ocean theme. No one missed them at all. Waterworks provided lots of help setting up, and also taking down, and loading up the car afterwards. Now, to the very best part of the evening. There were two lifeguards provided, who kept a vigilant watch on the kids, and also a swim instructor (Thanks, Caz!!!) in the water the whole time with them. He played, made sure all were included, assisted the weaker swimmers, and just kept the party going. The kids all had a blast swimming, playing games, and jumping, diving and floating on the many water toys. There were boats, dive rings, a dragon, a submarine, rafts, you name it. At the end of the party, they didn't want to leave. We got compliments all evening on what a great party it was. The parents appreciated the focus on safety and the kids having a good time, and many said it was the nicest kids' party that they'd attended. Another plus is that the pool is in a big shopping center with lots of restaurants. Some of the parents took a couples' evening out, and went out to dinner. They felt very comfortable leaving their kids. Thanks, again to Waterworks and their great employees. We'll do more parties here in the future.

For our son's First Birthday, we decided to do it at Waterworks Aquatics because our son already took classes there. We didn't know what to expect but all in all it was the best decision we did for our son's birthday. Nancy was the event coordinator who helped out from the beginning. She kept us informed at all times of what we needed to do before the party. When the party was approaching, she would call at least once a week to make sure we do not have any additional questions. She made sure that we didn't have any stress. When we got there, our party host was Fabian. He was extraordinary. He welcomed us in with a great smile and immediately went over the details and schedule of what was going to happen. If there is anything we want to add or omit, he would be very flexible. He and his staff helped with decorating and setting up our food. They even helped unload and load our stuff. The lifeguards were amazing. They were interactive with our guests and I love how they made everyone feel comfortable with SAFETY being their number one priority. We reserved the place for 3 hours. If we can do it all over again, we would pay additional hours. Our guests, and most especially, our birthday boy had the best time ever! Thank you Waterworks Aquatics and to all the staff that worked that night.

We recently hosted a birthday party for my 4 year old here. Everything from start to end was extremely smooth and seamless. The party host and all the staff were amazing, warm and courteous and far exceeded our expectations with the service they provided. We will be back again next year.

On Sunday May 16th we celebrated my daughter Mia's 9th birthday party at Waterworks. This year I was looking to do something "different" for her and found your place on the Internet. Mia and I watched the birthday video and she was immediately "sold". I had spoken to Liz over the phone a couple times and right away was impressed with how organized the party planning went. Waterworks made it so easy from the beginning, with the party video, to providing options of nearby restaurants to choose from, even down to the directions from the surrounding areas. When we arrived to set up for the party Liz was right there to greet us. She was eager to help, not only did she open the side gate to make our unloading convenient, she quickly met us at our car to help us unload our things. She even helped me put tablecloths on the tables and filled the chip bowls, unbelievable! She explained how the party was going to flow and made sure if we needed anything to let her know. She checked in with us throughout the party and even reminded me I had salads in the fridge. Chris ran the games for the kids, he made them fun and kept them interesting. Even the parents seemed to enjoy them. We also noticed another lifeguard actually in the pool entertaining the youngest kids while they clung to him. (Unfortunately I didn't get his name, he has black spiky hair). When it came time to clean up, my husband asked for some trash bags which they had refused, by reminding him they do the clean up too! Yup, they carried all our stuff out to our car and had the place cleaned up by the time we were pulling out of the driveway. My husband and I have yet to put on a party that disappoints, but this one definitely out did the rest! Our expectations were exceeded while we sat poolside enjoying our daughter's party. When it comes to party planning Waterworks, you guys sure know your stuff. Teamwork and communication is what we experienced on Sunday. Hats off to everyone involved in making our daughter's 9th birthday an unforgettable day. We're looking forward to another day at Waterworks Aquatics!

I would definitely recommend Waterworks to all my friends and family who are looking for a great facility for parties (or swim lessons)! All of the staff were exceptionally professional and made us all feel comfortable. There was not a time during the event that I was not asked if I needed anything, had any questions or needed help. My husband, daughter, and I really appreciate all the hard work and I cannot say enough good things about the time we had there. You guys are awesome!!!!

My party experience was amazing! Celia, our party host and 3 other staff (total of 4 people!!!) came to help with decorations, setting up table covers, and loading anything we needed from the car. Celia and the team are the dream for any mom on the day of their child’s birthday party. They are so calm and professional. They made sure everything went according to the schedule and offered flexibility where needed. Celia made sure we all had a good time. At one point, all the kids wanted balloons. I was blowing up the balloons for the kids and Celia came to take care of it and said, “you go and have a good time, I've got this!” They also cleaned the room for you and helped you load everything to your car. I just want to have a party here every year. This is the most enjoyable birthday party I've ever had in 8 years!
