Aida

Chris

Chris began swimming when he was a few months old and began swimming competitively at 7 years old. He continued to swim for his high school's swim team and became a lifeguard for the city of San Marcos. He became a lifeguard manager and swim instructor for all ages for 4 years and worked at a swim school at a lifeguard manager for 1 year. Additionally, he has childcare experience as a middle school teacher's assistant. He goes to school at CSU San Marcos where he is studying computer systems. He is excited to help his students become safer in and around the water.

Ed

Ed has been swimming since he was 5 years old and swam competitively for 5 years. He has experience working as a lifeguard for a local waterpark and taught several kids in his family how to swim. He has worked with kids of all ages as a babysitter. He goes to school at Grossmont College where he is studying social science. He has a passion for being outdoors, often going to the beach, mountains and forests. His favorite movie is Princess and the Frog and his favorite book is Frankenstein. He is excited to see each student grow throughout their lessons.

Gage

Gage has been swimming since he was 6 years old and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the freestyle. In addition to swimming, he has participated in sports like snowboarding, boogie boarding and skim boarding. He has experience working with children with special needs. He goes to school at Mira Mesa College and in his free time, he enjoys painting. His favorite movie is Ice Age and his favorite animals are box turtles. He is excited to watch his students grow in the water.

Georgia

Georgia has 3 years of competitive swimming experience. Her favorite event to compete in is the medley relay and her favorite stroke to teach her students is the freestyle. In addition to swimming, she has done martial arts and competed in dance. She has worked with kids as a daycare volunteer for kids of all ages for 5 years and has coached for both dance and martial arts. She is an avid reader and loves to explore. Her favorite movie is Hercules and her favorite animals are hedgehogs. She is excited to show her students that swimming is a fun way to stay active.

Hannah

Hannah took swim lessons when she was a young child and began swimming competitively in middle school. She continued swimming through high school and joined her high school's swim team. She has experience teaching swim lessons for her neighborhood and worked as an assistant swim coach. Additionally, she has several years of childcare experience. She goes to school at UC Santa Barbara where she is studying biopsychology. Some of her hobbies include playing pickle ball and rollerblading. She is excited to help her students feel more confident in the water.

Ian

Ian has been swimming since he was a kid and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has worked as a lifeguard and has played water polo. He has experience working with kids as a camp counselor and babysitter. Some of his hobbies include climbing and watching tv. His favorite tv show is Scooby Doo and his favorite food is pizza. He is excited to help his students learn to swim.

Jordan

Jordan has been swimming since he was 6 years old and went through the US Marine Corps water survival training. He has a passion for sharing his swim skills with others. Some of his hobbies include being outside and trying new foods. He is excited to teach his students about water safety.

Mia

Mia has been swimming since she was 3 years old and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle. In addition to swimming she competed as a pole vaulter. She goes to school at SDMC where she is studying speech. Some of her hobbies include painting and sewing. She is excited to help her students become more comfortable.

Sebastian (sub)

Sebastian has been swimming since he was 3 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. In high school, he swam competitively for his school's water polo, swim and surf teams. He was an assistant swim coach and would teach swim technique to the freshman swimmers. In the boy scouts, he worked with kids as a merit badge teacher. He goes to school at UC Irvine where he is studying physical sciences. His favorite movie is Star Wars and his favorite books are the Harry Potter series. His favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is helping his students learn a lifelong skill.
