Instructors

Audrey

Audrey has been swimming since she was 3 years old and began swimming competitively swimming at 7! She swam on her high school's varsity swim team for all 4 years and qualified for CIF 3 times. She is currently swimming at the collegiate level for the Golden West College swim team. Her favorite stroke to teach her students is the backstroke which she learned while swimming for the jr lifeguards for 2 years. She has experience working with kids as a babysitter for 3 years. She goes to school at Golden West College where she is studying nursing. Some of her hobbies include photography and collecting antiques. Her favorite cartoon character is Stitch and her favorite book is The Outsiders. She loves working with kids and is excited to introduce her students to competitive swimming.

Casey

Chloe

Chloe has been swimming since she was 12 years old. She has childcare experience as a CET for 1 year. Some of her hobbies include reading and playing guitar. She is excited to teach her students new skills.

Christian

Christian has been swimming since he was 4 years old. His favorite stroke to swim is the freestyle and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the backstroke. He has experience teaching his younger family members how to swim as well as his grandmother. He has experience working with children with special needs as an ABA therapist. Additionally, he has worked at a church daycare and as a babysitter. He goes to school at Long Beach City College where he is studying kinesiology. Some of his hobbies include listening to music, playing basketball and being in nature. His favorite food is Mexican food and his favorite animals are lions. He is excited to help his students reach their swim goals.

Claire

Claire learned how to swim when she was 5 years old from her sister, who worked as a swim instructor. She has several years of childcare experience as a babysitter. She is currently going to school for biology and some of her hobbies include drawing and painting. She is excited to help her students become safer in the water.

Danielle

Danielle has been swimming ever since she can remember. She has childcare experience as an elementary school substitute teacher and has previous experience working with children with special needs. She goes to school at Chattanooga Community College where she is studying science. Some of her hobbies include hiking and going to the beach. She is excited to help her students become safer swimmers.

Dillon

Dillon has been swimming since he was 4 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has experience in the water as a lifeguard for a water park and has 5 years of childcare experience as a babysitter and school volunteer. He goes to school at UC Riverside and in his free time he enjoys playing computer games. He is excited to pass on his swim skills to his students.

Ella

Ella has 12 years of experience swimming competitively on a club team. She won the award for "most improved" on her high school team and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the backstroke. She has previous experience teaching swim lessons for 1 year and has several years of childcare experience. She goes to school at CSU LA where she is studying child development. Some of her hobbies include reading, baking and playing games. She is excited to share her passion for swimming with her students.

Emily

Emily has been swimming ever since she can remember. She has a passion for helping others build their confidence. Some of her hobbies include playing soccer and being with her son. She is excited to help her students improve their swim technique.

Emma G

Emma swam two years for the Millikan High School swim team. Her favorite strokes are the backstroke and freestyle. She has experience working with children as a babysitter. She plans to study psychology and is passionate about continuing her education. Her favorite Disney princesses are Belle and Rapunzel and her favorite book is The Fault in Our Stars. She is excited to teach her students new techniques and find their favorite stroke.

Evelyn

Evelyn started swimming when she was 5 years old and has been competitive swimming since she was 10. Her favorite stroke to teach is freestyle and her favorite event is the 100 IM. She swam on her high school swim team and played on the water polo team. She has experience babysitting for the kids in her family. She goes to school at Long Beach Community College where she is studying forensic science. Her hobbies include reading, making music and drawing. She enjoys watching Disney movies and her favorite animals are cats. She wants to share her passion for competitive swimming with her students.

Gianna

Gianna has been swimming since she was 5 years old and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle. She has childcare experience as an elementary school volunteer. She goes to school at Long Beach City College where she is studying elementary school education. She is excited to share her swim skills with others.

Isabella K

Isabella has been swimming since she was 4 years old and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the backstroke. She has experience working with kids as a babysitter. In her free time, she enjoys painting, rollerskating and being with her dog. Her favorite food is pizza and her favorite animals are dogs. She is excited to make each lesson fun for her students.

Jackie

Jackie has been swimming since she was 7 years old and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the breaststroke. She taught her own children how to swim when they were 3 years old. She has childcare experience as an art teacher and children's photographer. She goes to school at Golden West College where she is studying business. Some of her hobbies include art and volunteering. She is excited to help her students build their swim confidence.

Janice

Janice has been swimming since she was 4 years old and swam competitively on her high school's swim team for all 4 years. She has childcare experience as an art instructor. She is currently studying art and some of her hobbies include painting and singing. She is excited to help her students advance.

Jeffrey

Jeffrey learned how to swim when he was 7 years old and his favorite stroke is Backstroke. He gained experience working with children of all ages as a teacher's assistant. Jeffrey enjoys watching his students progress and helping them learn an important life-saving skill. <br><br>Jeffrey is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at Long Beach City College. A few of his hobbies include weight training, running, playing drums, and playing video games.

Jocelynn

Jocelynn has been swimming competitively since she was 14 years old. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the backstroke. She has worked with kids as an elementary school teacher's assistant. She goes to school at Mt. SAC where she is studying global studies. Her favorite cartoon character is Eeyore and her favorite animals are pandas. Her favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is helping her students gain confidence in the water.

Julissa

Julissa has been swimming since she was 5 years old and swam competitively on her high school's water polo team. She has experience as a youth softball coach for 2 years as well as working with kids of all ages as a babysitter. She is currently studying psychology and some of her hobbies include reading and being outdoors. She has a passion for helping her students feel comfortable in the water.

Katarina

Katarina learned how to swim when she was younger by taking swim lessons. Her favorite stroke to teach is freestyle and her favorite event to swim is the 50 freestyle. She played softball for seven years and was in ROTC for two years. She has experience babysitting and teaching softball clinics. She enjoys baking and creative writing and her favorite food is tacos. Her favorite show is Gravity Falls and her favorite book is Another World. She is flexible, caring and creative and wants to help her students reach their full potential.

Kayla

Kayla has been swimming since she was nine years old. She has experience taking care of young family members and friend’s children. She would describe herself as hardworking and motivated. She plans to study child development and psychology when she attends college starting next year. She is very passionate about health and fitness. Her favorite Disney movies are Cinderella and The Little Mermaid. She is excited to help her students improve their swimming skills.

Kyle F.

Kyle began swimming at a very young age and has been swimming ever since. Through high school he swam for his Jr. Varsity and Varsity swim team. His favorite stroke is Breaststroke and his favorite event is the Individual Medley. As a teacher's assistant and Marital Arts instructor, Kyle had the chance to interact and work one on one with children of all ages. His favorite part about teaching swimming lessons is being able to pass on what he has learned from his swim experience to his students. He is currently attending Cal State Long Beach where he is studying History. In his free time he enjoys running, reading and playing with his dog.

Majid

Majid has been swimming since he was 5 years old and swam competitively in high school for 2 years. He received 2 swim medals and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has childcare experience as a babysitter for his younger siblings. Some of his hobbies include fishing, working out and riding bikes. He is excited to help his students learn life saving skills.

Nathaniel

Nathaniel has been swimming since she was 6 years old and he competed on his high school's water polo team. In addition to water polo, he has been sailing since he was a child. He has childcare experience as a sailing instructor and as a wrestling coach. Some of his hobbies include fishing and boating. He is excited to share his passion for the water with his students.

Oliver

Oliver has been swimming since he was 3 years old and swam competitively on his high school's swim and water polo teams. As the captain of his team, he has experience teaching others how to improve their technique. He has childcare experience through working at the Aquarium of the Pacific. He goes to school at Cypress College where he is studying computer science. Some of his hobbies include going to the beach and being with his dog. He is excited to share his passion for the water with his students.

Roko

Roko has been swimming since he was 3 years old and has 4 years of competitive swimming experience. Some of his hobbies include running and playing tennis. He is excited to see his student's swim progress.

Ryan

Ryan has been swimming competitively since he was 5 years old and competed on the same team until her was 18 years old! He joined his high school's swim team and served as captain of the junior varsity team for two years. He completed Huntington Beach junior lifeguard program and worked as a sports counselor for a Sports and Tennis Club for 3 years. He goes to school at Orange Coast College and some of his hobbies include camping and reading. He is excited to help his students learn such an important life skill.

Sandy

Sandy has been swimming since she was 5 years old and went on to swim competitively for her high school's swim team. She has experience teaching her younger family and friends how to swim and improve their swim technique. Additionally, she has taught and mentored kids of all ages as both a babysitter and a teacher's assistant. She goes to school at Cypress College where she is studying business and child development. In her free time she enjoys cooking, reading and listening to music. Her favorite Disney character is Winnie the Pooh and her favorite song is We Don't Talk About Bruno. She looks forward to helping her students become comfortable in the water.

Sophia

Sophia has been swimming since she was introduced to the water at 6 months old. She swam competitively for her high school's swim team for all 4 years and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle. She has several years of childcare experience as a babysitter and 4 years of experience in the medical field. Some of her hobbies include going to the beach and crafting. She is excited to make each lesson fun for her students.
