Cedy

Cedy has been swimming since she was 6 years old and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle. She has childcare experience as an elementary school volunteer for 2 years. She goes to school at Chabot College and some of her hobbies include painting and listening to music. She is excited to help her students become safer in the water.

Christopher (sub)

Christopher has been swimming since he was 7 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has experience teaching his younger family members how to swim. Additionally, he has worked with kids for about 8 years as a babysitter. Some of his hobbies include cooking, playing games and helping others. His favorite animals are otters and his favorite book is The Big Friendly Giant. His favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is helping his students become confident in the water.

Juan

Juan has been swimming since he was a child and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has 2 years of childcare experience as a martial arts teacher. He has a passion for helping others learn to swim safely. He goes to school at Chabot College where he is studying psychology. Some of his hobbies include working out and spending time with family. He is excited to help his students become more comfortable.

Justin (sub)

Justin has been swimming since he was 3 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has several years of childcare experience. His favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast and his favorite food is pizza. He is excited to teach his students life changing skills.

Lillian

Lillian has been swimming since she was 6 years old and began swimming competitively at 10 years old. She continued swimming until her junior year of high school and went on to become an open water lifeguard for 4 years. She goes to school at CSU East Bay where she is studying biology. Some of her hobbies include hiking and dancing. She is excited to help her students overcome their fear of the water.

Lucas

Lucas has been swimming since he was 3 years old and swam competitively on youth swim team for 5 years. He continued swimming for his high school's swim team for 3 years and his favorite event to swim is the 100 fly. He has 2 years of previous experience as a swim instructor for kids of all ages. Additionally, he has childcare experience as a math tutor for 4 years. He goes to school at SJSU where he is studying communications. Some of his hobbies include reading and hiking. He is excited to see his students accomplish their swim goals.

Saige

Saige has been swimming since she was in kindergarten and swam competitively for 2 years. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle and she has 2 years of experience as a lifeguard. She has several years of childcare experience as a babysitter, registered behavior therapist and summer camp counselor. Some of her hobbies include reading and listening to music. She is excited to teach her students about water safety.

Sebastian (sub)

Sebastian has been swimming with his family ever since he can remember and began fishing when he was 10 years old. His favorite stroke to swim is the freestyle and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the backstroke. He has childcare experience as a tutor and as a non-profit volunteer. Some of his hobbies include speech & debate and running cross country. His favorite food is ribs and his favorite movie is The Iron Giant. He is excited to build a strong bond with each of his students.

Sophia

Sophia has been swimming since she took swim lessons at 10 years old. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the butterfly. She has childcare experience as an elementary school volunteer and as a babysitter. She goes to school at Chabot College where she is studying nursing. Some of her hobbies include reading and hiking. She has a passion for helping her students build their confidence.

Steven

Steven has been swimming since he took swim lessons at 5 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the butterfly. He taught his younger family members how to swim and has childcare experience as a babysitter and as an assistant Taekwondo instructor. He goes to school at New Haven Academy where he is studying business. Some of his hobbies include fishing and swimming. He is excited to teach his students about water safety.
