Aidan

Aidan has been swimming since he was 8 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has childcare experience as a teacher's assistant. He goes to school at Cal State San Marcos where he is studying biology. He loves to swim and his excited to help his students become great swimmers.

Aimee

Aimee has been swimming since she was 4 years old. She has 3 years of experience teaching karate to kids of all ages. Some of her hobbies include driving and animals. She is excited to help her students succeed!

Alexis G

Alexis has been swimming since she was 4 years old and took swim lessons to perfect her skills. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle. She has experience working with kids as a babysitter and childcare worked for 6 years. Some of her hobbies include art, writing and gardening. Her favorite movie is Princess and the Frog and her favorite food is pasta. She is excited to help her students reach their swim goals.

Allison

Allison has been swimming since she was 4 years old. She has experience working as a coach for little league softball. Additionally, she has childcare experience as a daycare teacher for 2 years. She went to Chico Sate University and some of her hobbies include hiking and going to the beach. She is excited to show her students how fun the water can be!

Azul

Azul has been swimming since she was 5 years old and took swim lessons to perfect her technique. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the backstroke. She taught her younger sister how to swim and has several years of childcare experience as an elementary school volunteer and peer leader. She went to school to study radiologic technology. Some of her hobbies include baking and being outdoors. She is excited to teach her students a lifelong skill.

Bennett

Bridget

Bridget has been swimming since she was 8 years old and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the breaststroke. She has 3 years of experience working with kids as a summer camp counselor. She goes to school at UC Merced where she is studying human biology. Some of her hobbies include reading and baseball. She is excited to help her students develop lifesaving skills.

Chase

Chase has been swimming ever since he can remember and swam competitively for 8 years. He has experience working in the water as a lifeguard. Additionally, he has childcare experience as a youth camp counselor. He goes to school at UNF where he is studying graphic arts. Some of his hobbies include surfing and sailing. He is excited to help his students develop their swim skills.

Danyele

Danyele has 5 years of experience working in the water as a lifeguard. Additionally, she has childcare experience as a trampoline park employee. Some of her hobbies include hiking and golfing. She is excited to help her students build their confidence.

Dina

Dina started swimming when she was 4 years old and learned from her father. She loves to teach swim lessons and her favorite stroke is the breaststroke. Dina has several years of childcare experience and loves spending time with kids. She is excited to give students confidence in their abilities. In her free time she enjoys hot yoga and pilates.

Drew C.

Andrew has been swimming since he was 3 years old and swam competitively on a youth swim team for 7 years. He has experience in the water as a lifeguard for 4 years. Additionally, he has experience working with kids as a sports camp coach and babysitter. He goes to school at Denison University where he is studying psychology. Some of his hobbies include playing pickleball and basketball. He is excited to help his students learn new skills.

Drew W.

Drew swam competitively for 10 years and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the backstroke. He taught scuba diving lessons for 20 years in Hawaii to kids of all ages. Additionally, he coached a youth swim team for 3 years. Some of his hobbies include disk golf and playing the ukulele. He has a passion for helping his students become safer swimmers.

Eliana

Eliana has been swimming since she was 1 years old and began surfing and swimming with the junior lifeguards when she was 3 years old. She swam on her high school's water polo team for all 4 years and was the captain of her team. She has childcare experience as a babysitter and church camp counselor. She goes to school at Mesa Community College where she is studying radiology. Some of her hobbies include going on walks and surfing. She is excited to help build her student's confidence.

Ethan

Ethan swam competitively on his high school's swim and water polo teams for all 4 years. He has been surfing for over 6 years and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the backstroke. He continues swimming at the collegiate level for the Mira Mesa College surf club. He has 2 years of childcare experience. He goes to school at CSUSM where he is studying kinesiology. Some of his hobbies include surfing and going to the gym. He is excited to help his students achieve their swim goals.

Gia

Giavanna played varsity water polo for 2 years and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the freestyle. She has childcare experience as a teachers aid as well as working as a babysitter for over 5 years. She goes to school at Cal State San Marcos where she is studying psychology. Some of her hobbies include working out and going to the beach. She is excited to help her students master new skills!

Jeremiah (sub)

Jeremiah has been swimming since he was 6 years old. He joined the army where he received 2 swim qualifications and his favorite stroke to swim is the backstroke. He has experience working with kids as a tutor and babysitter. He goes to school at Mesa College where he is studying environmental engineering. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, reading and writing stories. His favorite animals are cats and his favorite movie is Princess and the Frog. He has a passion for helping his students become safer in the water.

Kal-El

Kal-El has been swimming since he was 3 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He learned CPR and worked as a lifeguard for a summer camp and coached a high school football team. He goes to school at Cal State San Marcos where he is studying biology. Some of his hobbies include listening to music and playing instruments.

Kelly

Kelly has been swimming ever since she can remember and played water polo. Additionally, she swam for swim and dive teams where she made CIF for springboard diving. She has experience working with kids of all ages. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and cooking. Her favorite character is Elsa from Frozen and her favorite animals are horses. She is excited to make each lesson fun for her students.

Kyle

Kyle has been swimming ever since he can remember and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He worked with the city of San Marcos where he taught swim lessons for 2 years and worked as a lifeguard mentor. Some of his hobbies include playing basketball and weightlifting. His favorite movie is Cars and his favorite food is wings. He is excited to see each of his students grow!

Lexi

Lexi has been swimming since she took swim lessons at 5 years old. She swam competitively for 3 years and her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the backstroke. Some of her hobbies include painting, hiking and scuba diving. Her favorite food is sushi and her favorite animals are cats. She is excited to have fun in the water with her students.

Matt

Matt has been swimming since he was 5 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has several years of childcare experience working for the Boys & Girls Club of America and as a teacher's assistant. He goes to school at SDSU where he is studying psychology. Some of his hobbies include listening to music and learning new things. He has a passion for teaching his students new skills.

Mike

Michael has been body surfing since he was 9 years old and began surfing when he was 10. In high school, he competed on his school's water polo and swim teams and continued in college. His favorite event to compete in is the 100 breaststroke and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the breaststroke. He was a junior lifeguard instructor for several seasons and became a lifeguard beach manager and dispatcher. Additionally, he coached high school aquatics for over 30 seasons. He has worked with kids as a high school English teacher for 25 years. He went to school at UC Riverside where he studied political science. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and meditating. His favorite movie is Finding Nemo and his favorite book is Catcher in the Rye. He is excited to share his passion for the water with his students.

Nickie (sub)

Nickie has been swimming since she was 5 years old and in high school she swam competitively for all 4 years. She was named "Female Athlete of the Year" for her class and continued to swim at the collegiate level. Her favorite event to compete in is the 200 free and her favorite stroke to teach her students is the breaststroke. She has worked as a girls water polo coach for 3 years and worked as a tutor at an elementary school for 1 year. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, weightlifting and volunteering. Her favorite movie is Finding Nemo and her favorite animals are wombats. She is excited to help her students achieve their swim goals.

Paula

Paula has been swimming since she was 8 years old and began competing in local youth swim competitions. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the butterfly. She has childcare experience as a babysitter where she would help students with their swim skills. She goes to school at Mira Costa College. Some of her hobbies include baking and jogging. She is excited to help her students feel more comfortable in the water.

Paul R.

Paul has been swimming ever since he can remember and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He swam with the junior lifeguards for 5 years and worked as a junior lifeguard assistant. He goes to school at MiraCosta College where he is studying sports psychology. Some of his hobbies include going to the gym and reading Harry Potter books. He is excited to help his students become more confident swimmers.

Paul S.

Paul has been swimming since he was 3 years old by taking swim lessons here at Waterworks! He swam competitively for 4 years and was a CIF champion 2 years in a row. His favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has experience in the water as a lifeguard and in the boy scouts. Additionally, he has childcare experience as a daycare teacher. He goes to school at Palomar College where he is studying engineering. Some of his hobbies include reading and playing volleyball. He is excited to help his students become safer in the water.

Rachel (sub)

Rachel learned how to swim when she was five years old. She started swimming competitively from the Armada swim team when she was thirteen. In high school, she swam for the varsity school swim team for three years. Her favorite strokes to teach are freestyle and backstroke and her favorite event to swim is the 200 free. She has experience watching after her younger family members, ages 2 weeks to 3 years old. She is passionate about art and enjoys knitting blankets. She is excited to watch her students improve and become independent in the water.

Raven

Raven began swimming at the age of three and her favorite stroke is Breaststroke. Working as a babysitter for the past eleven years, she has extensive childcare experience and feels very comfortable working with children of all ages. Her favorite part about teaching swimming lessons is being able to see her students grow into strong swimmers. She is currently attending Healing Hands School of Holistic Health where she is studying Massage Therapy. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and making ceramics.

Ryan

Ryan has been swimming since he was 4 years old and began surfing at 9 years old. He swam with the junior lifeguards and has experience working as a lifeguard for a water park. Additionally, he has childcare experience as an after school teacher and as a flag football coach. Some of his hobbies include working out and surfing. He is excited to make learning fun!

Samantha

Samantha has been swimming since she was 5 years old and has been surfing ever since. Her favorite stroke to swim and teach her students is the backstroke. She has experience as a youth basketball coach for 3 years and as a surf instructor for 1 year. Additionally, she has childcare experience as a preschool teacher and nanny. She goes to school at Mira Costa College where she is studying child education. Some of her hobbies include going to the beach and painting. She is excited to help her students learn new skills.

Samuel

Samuel brings a strong competitive swimming background. He began swimming at age 8, entered competitive swimming at 11, and went on to earn multiple top 10 placements throughout his career. His strongest and favorite stroke is the butterfly, where his technique and speed especially stand out. In addition to his competitive background, Samuel is a certified lifeguard and spent four summers teaching students how to swim. His passion for the sport is matched by his dedication to helping swimmers develop new skills, improve their technique, and build confidence in and out of the water.

Sawyer

Sawyer swam competitively for his high school's swim team and swam for the varsity water polo team. He earned his lifeguard certification in high school and has childcare experience as a babysitter. He goes to school for Fire Science and some of his hobbies include skateboarding and playing video games. He is excited to share his passion for competitive swimming with his students.

Sebastian

Sebastian has been swimming since he was 3 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He taught his younger sister and his teenage friend how to swim. He has childcare experience as a teachers aide and babysitter. He goes to school at Mira Costa College where he is studying psychology. Some of his hobbies include going to the gym and watching movies. He is excited to help his students reach their goals.

Sebastian (sub)

Sebastian has been swimming since he was 3 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. In high school, he swam competitively for his school's water polo, swim and surf teams. He was an assistant swim coach and would teach swim technique to the freshman swimmers. In the boy scouts, he worked with kids as a merit badge teacher. He goes to school at UC Irvine where he is studying physical sciences. His favorite movie is Star Wars and his favorite books are the Harry Potter series. His favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is helping his students learn a lifelong skill.

Stef

Stef has been swimming since she was 2 years old and started swimming competitively for a youth swim team when she was 6 years old. She continued swimming competitively through high school and was the captain of her school's swim and dive team. She has childcare experience as a girl's wrestling coach. She went to school for biology and some of her hobbies include music and animals. She has a passion for teaching her students a lifesaving skill.

Trevor

Trevor has been swimming since he was a child and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has a passion for making each lesson fun for his students! Some of his hobbies include hiking and playing the guitar. He is excited to help his students accomplish their swim goals.

Ty

Ty has been swimming and surfing since he was a child. He has childcare experience as a church camp leader. He is currently in school for business and some of his hobbies include camping and surfing. He is excited to share his passion for swimming with his students.

Tyler

Tyler has been swimming since he was 2 years old and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He swam as a navy search and rescue swimmer. He continued to enjoy the water through spearfishing and scuba diving. He taught several people in the military how to swim and has childcare experience as a kids park employee and as a camp counselor. He goes to school at San Diego City College where he is studying cyber security. some of his hobbies include spending his time with his dog, Ash, and surfing. He is excited to help his students become more comfortable in the water.

Tyler T

Tyler has been swimming since he was a child and his favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He goes to school at Palomar College where he is studying biomedical engineering and in his free time he enjoys hiking and running. He is excited to see each students progress in the water.

Valeria

Valeria has been swimming since she was four years old and was taught by her parents. She has experience working with children as a behavioral therapist and is currently attending Palomar Community College where she is studying Psychology and Child Development. Some of her hobbies include swimming, traveling, hiking and roller skating. Her favorite foods include ribs and alfredo pasta and her favorite animals include birds and cats. She is excited to help her students increase their skills and abilities while feeling safe and confident in the water.

Victoria

Victoria has been swimming since she was 8 years old and played water polo for 2 youth polo clubs. In high school, she competed on her school's junior varsity and varsity water polo teams. She has childcare experience as a tutor and volunteer for elementary school children. She goes to school at Perdue University where she studies English literature. She is excited to teach her students an important life skill.
