New Irvine Instructors
Waterworks Aquatics would like to welcome our new Irvine instructors - Sam, Omar, Trish & Andrew!

Sam began swimming at the age of nine and her favorite stroke is Breaststroke. Sam has worked with children of all ages and gained most of her experience babysitting and being a dance instructor. Her favorite part about teaching swimming lessons is seeing as her students improve as they come in to their lessons. She is currently attending Santa Ana College where she is studying Communication. Some of her hobbies include dancing and skateboarding.
Bilingual: Spanish
Omar began swimming at the age of thirteen and has been swimming ever since. He swam competitively all through high school and made it to CIF his junior year. His favorite stroke is Backstroke and his favorite events include the 200yd Individual Medley and the 500yd Freestyle. Omar gained most of his experience as a volunteer coach where he would help his students improve their techniques and speed. His favorite part about teaching lessons is being able to help his students improve their techniques. Omar is currently attending Fullerton College and studying Engineering. Some of his hobbies include bike riding, photography and spending time with his family.

Trish learned how to swim at the age of seven when she began taking lessons. One of her favorite strokes is Freestyle. Trish gained most of her experience working with children ages one through ten, babysitting her four younger siblings. She also would volunteer at her local church where she would work with the children conducting games and activities as well as help with bible study. Her favorite part about teaching swimming lessons is seeing her student’s growth and improvement through their lessons. Trish is currently attending Irvine Valley College where she is studying Nursing. Some of her hobbies include singing, reading, and acrylic painting.

SEASONAL
Andrew began swimming at the age of five and has loved the water ever since. He has swum competitively since 2014 on the Brea Olinda’s Swim Team and has continued to swim with them till this day. In addition to swimming, he also plays water polo. One of his favorite strokes is Breaststroke and his favorite event is the 200yd Individual Medley. Most of his experience working with children has come from him volunteering with Club water polo, where he would teach the students how to pass, shoot and thread water. His favorite part about teaching swimming lessons is being able to work with children. Some of his hobbies include water polo and playing ping-pong.
