In honor of the Super Bowl this past week was Sports Week at Waterworks Aquatics. Several kids, parents, and staff displayed their pride by wearing their favorite team's jersey. In case you missed it, Super Bowl XLIX was one of the most exciting Super Bowl games ever! The Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots met in Glendale, Arizona. The Seattle Seahawks started the first half with a two touchdown lead, however the New England Patriots, led by Tom Brady, scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The final 125 seconds included a perfect possession by Tom Brady for the go-ahead points, a juggling catch that could have been the play of the year, and a victory-clinching, end-zone interception on a pass - not run - from the 1. Of course, Tom Brady walked away with the MVP Award. Also noteworthy, Katy Perry had one of the most impressive Super Bowl half-time shows of all time with special guest appearances from Lenny Kravitz, Missy Elliot, a 20 foot tall Tiger, animated beach balls, and an incredible fireworks display!! There is plenty more chances to celebrate at Waterworks Aquatics. This next week is Valentine's Day, Swim Competitions, and Family Swim Nights. Stay tuned!!
