Our talented team of swim instructors at the Riverside location look forward to sharing their swim skills with you. We strive to provide each student with the motivation to build their confidence in the water and become a stronger swimmer. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment to help all students ages 2.5 and up to improve their skills in the water.
We believe that swimming is a lifelong skill that people of all ages should learn. Waterworks is the perfect place to learn how to become safer in the water while building a solid swimming foundation.

Anthony
Anthony started swimming when he was 4 years old and has been swimming ever since. He is very athletic and plated sports like baseball, football and track and field. He has experience working as a babysitter and a tutor for over 4 years.
He goes to Rio Hondo Community College where he is studying mathematics. In his free time, he enjoys cars, reading manga and playing board games. He loves sushi and his favorite animals are seals. He is excited to teach his students how to float in the water.

Jorge
Jorge has been swimming since he was 5 years old when he was taught by his uncle who is a swim instructor himself! His favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He has experience helping his uncle teach swim lessons and has worked as a tutor.
He goes to school at Riverside City College where he is studying English for teaching and has taken several child development courses. Some of his hobbies include reading, MMA and playing videogames. His favorite tv show is Pokemon and his favorite animals are cats. He is excited to teach his students new skills.

Joshua
Joshua swam competitively for 3 years and played water polo for 2 years. His favorite event to compete in is the 100 IM and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the breaststroke. In addition to swimming, he has competed in football and dance and was in the boy scouts. He has experience working with kids in the water as a boy scout summer camp counselor. Additionally, he worked as a tutor for grades 2 through 5.
Some of his hobbies include reading, drumming and skating. His favorite movie is Moana and his favorite animals are cats. He is excited to teach his students an important life-saving skill.

Samantha
Samantha has been swimming since she was 2 years old and her favorite stroke is butterfly. She swam for her high school’s swim team for all 4 years. After high school, she played recreational water polo and was involved in junior lifeguards for 5 years. She placed 1st in the 200 medley, the 50 butterfly and the 200 medley relay during the 2016 high school swim league finals. She has experience as a camp counselor and even volunteered for the Salvation Army daycare center. Additionally, she worked as an assistant soccer coach for kids ages 5 -10 years old.
She is going to school at West LA College where she is studying in kinesiology. In her free time, she likes to play soccer and explore the outdoors. She is passionate about sharing her love for swimming with her students.

Vasti
Vasti took swim lessons to learn about competitive swimming when she was 14 years old and joined her high school's swim team during her freshman year. She swam for all 4 years and received the award for Athlete of the Year and was her team's captain. She worked as a lifeguard for the city of Riverside and has taught kids and adults of all ages as a swim instructor. Additionally, she was an assistant coach for a youth soccer team and worked as a babysitter.
She goes to school at UCI where she is studying biology. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring Southern California. She is excited to introduce her students to competitive swimming.
