Team Members of the Month

Our January Team Members!

We are starting 2018 off strong by highlighting two special Waterworks employees! Our Aquatics Team Member of the month is Cynthia and our Office Team Member is Wendy!

Over the past year, Cynthia has taken on so many responsibilities outside the normal swim instructor position. Shortly after being hired as a swim instructor, she was determined to start teaching infants and toddlers in our Parent and Me classes. It’s not easy taking on so much for a new instructor, but Cynthia made it look like a walk in the park.

Passion:

Don’t let her height fool you! Cynthia is a huge presence here at Waterworks. Cynthia has a genuine passion for the students she teaches, constantly pushing them to do their best. Cynthia also understands how important it is for students to have fun, and makes sure that her kids have an absolute blast in every lesson. The love Cynthia shows towards her students sets an example for the rest of our team.

Approachability:

Known for her energetic and bubbly attitude, Cynthia’s popularity as an instructor comes from her lovable personality. You’ll often see students leaping off the pool deck in order to start their lessons with Cynthia as quickly as possible. She spends her breaks playing with her students in the play pool, creating life long memories for the kids.

Adaptability:

Right off the bat, Cynthia showed a passion for teaching younger students and was asked to teach Parent and Me classes. Cynthia’s expressive teaching style and patience has made her one of the best instructors for the younger students.

Self-Responsibility:

Cynthia is consistently checking in with managers and senior instructors, actively trying to see how she can take on more responsibility and become a better instructor.

Please say hello to Wendy, our January employee of the Month for the Office! Wendy embodies all of our core values and makes sure to always have a smile on her face! She does an amazing job of making sure every family has a wonderful, exciting experience when they come into Waterworks! She assists with large events and tasks, such as our swim competitions, opening the facility, and is a member of our phone team! We are extremely grateful to have Wendy as a part of our Office Staff here at Waterworks! Below are some additional qualities that make Wendy stand out!

Passion:

Aside from being a superstar at the front desk, Wendy also dedicates her time as a Nurse, helping those in need. She shows a genuine passion for helping families and loves to make meaningful connections with all of the kiddos that come through our lobby.

Approachability:

Known for her energetic and bubbly attitude, Wendy’s popularity as an office team member comes from her lovable personality. You’ll often see children running up to Wendy at the front to engage in conversation or ask for a licorice. Wendy also has a hidden talent! She is able to remember almost every child’s name when they come in for a lesson!

Adaptability:

Right from the start, Wendy has set an example for the rest of the team, by being adaptable and opening the facility in the bright and early mornings. She also works around not only her Waterworks schedule, but her schedule at the hospital. That is pretty impressive!

Self-Responsibility:

Wendy is always on time and present for her shifts. She is someone who is willing to take on any task, whether it be big or small!

Congratulations to these ladies and keep up the amazing work!
