Fulfill the Swimming Merit Badge Requirements
Waterworks Aquatics offers a swimming workshop in Irvine taught by instructors who are certified in CPR and first aid. Students will improve in all four competitive strokes while learning how to treat and prevent water related emergencies.They will also review first aid, CPR, safe swimming practices, and demonstrate lifesaving skills.
At the completion of the workshop, participants will be required to pass a swim test demonstrating the skills they have learned. Passing this test will fulfill the swimming merit badge requirements.
Swimmers who are 12 -18 years old may enroll.
Course Curriculum
Participants will be introduced to or improve technique in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly.
Discuss the prevention and treatment of water-related emergencies.
Review first aid, CPR, and safe swimming practices.
Session Dates

All sessions start at 1:00pm
1pm - 3pm: If there are less than 6 participants in attendance

Requirements
Participants will take and must pass a swim test in order to fulfill all requirements covered in a workshop.
Waterworks Aquatics is foremost a swim school, so if your children need to brush up on swimming techniques before this workshop, be sure to look into our lessons, Stroke Clinics, or Swim Teams.
