Andre

Andre began swimming at the age of seven and continue to do so for the next five years. In addition to swimming, he played basketball and tennis growing up. His favorite event to compete in is the 50-yard freestyle and his favorite stroke to teach his students is freestyle. He has four years of experience working with children through the Chinese Parents Association for the disabled.

He attends Pasadena City College where he is focusing on Cybersecurity. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, watching baseball, and reading. His favorite movie is Cars and his favorite dessert is tiramisu. He is most excited to give back and help his students be safer in the water.

Benjamin

Benjamin has been swimming since he was 5 years old and swam with the junior lifeguards where he passed all of the lifeguarding qualifications. His favorite event to compete in is the 50 free and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the freestyle. In addition to swimming, he played basketball and football in high school. 

He goes to school at Cal Poly Pomona where he is studying engineering. In his free time, he enjoys gaming, playing basketball and playing with his 2 golden retrievers. He is excited to help his students improve their swim technique. 

Bolton

Bolton has been swimming since he was 2 years old and has been swimming competitively since he was a kid. His favorite event is the 50 free and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the freestyle. He has worked in the water as a lifeguard and taught his younger family members how to swim. Additionally, he has worked with kids as a tutor.

In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding and spending time with his grandparents. His favorite movie is Up and he loves Taco Bell. He is excited to help each student become a better swimmer.

Isabel

Isabel has been swimming ever since she can remember and began swimming competitively for her high school's swim team. Her favorite event to compete in is the 200 individual medley and her favorite stroke to teach her students is breaststroke. She has three years of swim instruction experience and four years of childcare experience.

Some of her hobbies include painting and reading. Her favorite Disney Princess is Jasmine and her favorite dessert is ice cream. She is very excited to get back into the water and share her passion for helping students become safer in and around the water.

Kat

Kat has been swimming since she was six years old and swam competitively for Rio Hondo College. Her favorite stroke to teach is breaststroke and her favorite event is the 200 meter sprint. As a swim instructor and a tutor, she has had the chance to work with children of all ages in the water and in the classroom.

She is currently attending Cypress College where she is studying Mortuary Science. In her free time, she enjoys writing poetry and reading. Her favorite movie is Duchess and her favorite food is tonkotsu ramen. She is most excited to see her students improve, from their first float to their first flip turn.

Kurt

Kurt began swimming at the age of six and swam competitively for four and half years. His favorite stroke is the breaststroke and his favorite event to swim is the 100 meter breaststroke. He has worked with children at an after school daycare, in which he got to teach students about English, math and history.

He goes to Pasadena City College where he is studying Computer Science. His favorite Disney movie is Aladdin and his favorite animals are dogs. He is looking forward to being able to help his students and parents feel safer in the water.
