The holiday season is fast approaching and we know families get busy with the hustle and bustle of festivities. We thought we’d share a few simple practice tips your little ones can do at home to keep their skills fresh while you may be busy traveling to relative houses, wrapping presents, and preparing for the holidays.
1) practice back floating and putting the face in the water in the bath tub before soaping up
2) have your child lie on the floor on their tummy or back and practice flutter kicks
3) sing row row your boat with your child and move your arms in a circular movement like the “big arms” they do in class
4) if you do find a pool to swim in while traveling in colder climates make sure to dry your little ones off and put on warm clothes, hats and mittens before leaving the building
