At Waterworks Swim School, we believe that the ability to swim is not only invaluable but also a lifelong skill that everyone should learn. As Californian’s, we are always either by the beach or pool so strengthening our ability to swim is a great skill to have for all.
Our swim instructors in Yorba Linda are trained and prepared to help those in need of swim lessons. Our staff is qualified to work with students of all ages and abilities. From one-on-one private lessons to paired semi-private lessons, our instructors will help each student achieve their swimming goals in a matter of no time.

Gwynn
Gwynn has been swimming since she learned at 9 years old. In high school, she swam competitively on the water polo and swim teams. Her favorite event to compete in is the 100 butterfly. During her time in the Navy, she participated in Navy swim training. She has experience working with kids as an after school program coordinator for 2 years.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exploring new things and visiting National Parks. Her favorite book is The Little Prince and her favorite movie is Wall-E. She is excited to help her students improve their speed and teach them more about water safety.

Junaid
Junaid has been swimming ever since he can remember and his favorite stroke to teach others is the backstroke. He has competed in basketball since he was 7 years old and has received several awards over the years. He has experience working with kids as a national junior basketball coach for 2 years where he worked with kids of all ages. Additionally, he taught his younger cousins how to swim.
He goes to school at Fullerton College where he is studying kinesiology. In his free time, he enjoys swimming in the ocean, being outdoors and watching movies. His favorite Disney character is Nemo and his favorite book is The Life of Pi. He is excited to teach his students how to become safer in and around the water.

Justin
Justin swam competitively in high school for 3 years and received ribbons in all 4 strokes. His favorite stroke to swim is the butterfly and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the freestyle. He has played sports such as football, tennis, baseball and water polo. He was a lifeguard for El Dorado High School and was the assistant coach for his swim team. Additionally, he has worked with kids of all ages as a summer camp leader.
In his free time, he enjoys going on hikes, playing games and being around his family and friends. His favorite movie is Princess and the Frog and his favorite animals are dogs. He is excited to teach his students a skill that will stay with them throughout their life.

Lizzy
Lizzy has been swimming since she was three years old. She played club and high school volleyball for five years. She volunteers for her church every weekend, working with the students and taking them on mission trips.
She goes to Santiago Canyon College where she is studying child development. She enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite Disney movie is Tangled and her favorite books are The Hunger Games series. She is excited to see her students grow and become comfortable in the water.

Madison
Madison has been swimming since she was 4 years old and swam competitively in high school for 1 year. Her favorite event to compete in is the 100 medley relay and her favorite stroke to teach her students is the backstroke. In addition to swimming, she played softball and tennis. She has worked with kids as a volunteer camp counselor for 2 summers.
Some of her hobbies include baking, volunteering at food pantries and cooking. Her favorite movie is Matilda and her favorite animals are snakes. She has a passion for helping her students become safer swimmers.

Mario has been swimming since he was 4 years old. In high school, he swam for his school's swim and water polo teams and won the Athlete of the Year award. His favorite event to compete in is the 100 free and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the breaststroke. In addition to swimming, he has experience fishing, scuba diving and surfing. He has worked with kids for 2 years as a Sunday school teacher and as a basketball coach.
He goes to school at SCC where he is studying biology. Some of his hobbies include going to the beach, playing sports and fashion. His favorite movie is Aladdin and his favorite animals are dogs. He is excited to help his students become great swimmers.

Nicholas Goldstein
Nicholas has been swimming ever since he can remember! His favorite stroke to swim is the freestyle and his favorite stroke to teach his students is the backstroke. He has worked with the scouts as a lifeguard and swim instructor. He is studying to become a teacher and has experience with kids as a teacher's assistant.
Some of his hobbies include hiking and being out in nature. His favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast and his favorite animals are dogs. He is excited to help his students become safer swimmers.

Nick has been swimming since he was 5 years old and swam competitively in high school. He swam on high school's varsity team where he competed in CIF 3 times. His favorite stroke to swim and teach his students is the freestyle. He coached his school's freshman swim team and has worked with kids as a babysitter for 5 years.
He goes to school Cal State Fullerton where he is studying kinesiology. His favorite movies are the Harry Potter movies and his favorite animals are snakes. His favorite thing about teaching swim lessons is helping his students achieve their swim goals.

Osvaldo
Osvaldo has been swimming since he was 7 years old and swam competitively in high school on his school's swim and water polo teams. He was the varsity water polo captain and taught the new swimmers how to perfect their technique. He has worked with kids as a tutor and as a mentor in addition to babysitting for 2 years.
He went to school at CSUF where he is studying business. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his family. His favorite movie is The Incredibles and his favorite animals are dogs. He is excited to share his passion for competitive swimming with his students.

Samantha
Samantha has been swimming since she was 2 years old and her favorite stroke is butterfly. She swam for her high school’s swim team for all 4 years. After high school, she played recreational water polo and was involved in junior lifeguards for 5 years. She placed 1st in the 200 medley, the 50 butterfly and the 200 medley relay during the 2016 high school swim league finals. She has experience as a camp counselor and even volunteered for the Salvation Army daycare center. Additionally, she worked as an assistant soccer coach for kids ages 5 -10 years old.
She is going to school at West LA College where she is studying in kinesiology. In her free time, she likes to play soccer and explore the outdoors. She is passionate about sharing her love for swimming with her students.
