Nicolas
Nicolas began swimming at the age of four and swam competitively for over five years for the La Mirada Swim Club. His favorite event to compete in is the 100-yard breaststroke and his favorite stroke to teach his students is freestyle. He has experience teaching swim lessons to students of all ages. Additionally, he has worked as a lifeguard and volunteered for two years at an art school.
He is currently attending the Institute of Culinary Education. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, going to the gym, cooking, and napping. His favorite movie is How to Train a Dragon and his favorite books are the Harry Potter series. His favorite aspect about teaching is being able to see his students improve and become comfortable in the water.

Rosa
Rosa has been swimming ever since she can remember and has five years of competitive swimming experience. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke and her favorite strokes to teach her students include freestyle, breaststroke, and backstroke. She has experience working with children as a water safety instructor for five summers, being a teacher’s aide for fourteen years, and an occupational therapist for eight years.
She is currently attending Stanbridge College where she is studying Occupational Therapy. In her free time, she enjoys camping, going to the beach, and swimming. Her favorite foods include pizza and pasta and her favorite dessert is banana cream pie. She is most excited to teach her students how to be safe in the water while still having fun.
